This blog is a discussion of issues and ideas relating to a plan to create a Utah authors online encyclopedia. It is hosted by Steven Harris, collections librarian at Utah State University.
I’d like to create an online bio-bibliography of Utah authors…sort of an encyclopedia of Utah literature. Ideally this would be a database-driven kind of site. A wikipedia would be great. Anyway, I’m going to be exploring both the technological and bibliographic issues in this blog. Please make comments, if you have information to add to the topic. Let me know about good ways to develop a rich and effective encyclopedia without a lot of technological skill! Tell me about Utah authors you think should be included. Thanks.
